Amazon is opening a pop-up clinic in Seattle to administer COVID-19 vaccines. The one-day clinic will set up at Amazon HQ. COVID-19 has been a tragedy for all the countries of the world and in order to save lives, to rebuild the economy no, thanks to Donald Trump, and get back on the road. Amazon hopes it can make a difference.
The clinic will be launched in collaboration with Virginia Mason Medical Center in Downtown Seattle and have set a goal of administering about 2000 vaccine to the eligible member of the public. Amazon is not only providing the space but also the logistics.
The state of Washington allows senior citizens who live in a multigenerational household to be eligible to receive the vaccine. Amazon is also working with Starbucks and Microsoft to boost the COVID-19 vaccination. This great initiative come after Amazon appealed to President Biden for its front-line workers who are staging a union vote soon to get priority access to the COVID-19 Vaccine. The company wrote to the president of the USA offering to lend its hand at providing vaccination efforts at a national level. Over 800,000 employees do not work from home and are essential.
